May 17-23: Birthdays, Ballpark, Preschool Program and some Gardens

May 17.  We spent an awesome Saturday afternoon at Sugarhouse Park with friends.  Kimball's friend Gabe is turning 6 and we joined him and his family to celebrate.

We finally took a picture of all the kids together.  We have been friends since Kimball was three.  We sure love these guys!

May 18.  After church we had some neighbors over for a BBQ.  We even celebrated two birthdays!  Michael Martin's and Veronica Ernest's.  Veronica watches my kids a couple days a week while I work.  It's so nice to have good neighbors.

Putting kids down to bed is always a chore.  Abby now thinks that she should get to climb on her brothers' beds before she will settle down.  She has some spunk, that one.

May 19.  We met our friends, Maria and her kids at the library for a story time with dancing.  It was pretty cute.  The kids had a good time reading books afterward.

In the evening we attended the Bee's game with the Martins.  We went last year too.  Unfortunately, Bryce had a sore throat and stayed home with Abby.  But I had a great time with the boys.

May 20.  Tuesday was a bit of a sick day at our house.  Bryce was home again with his sore throat and Kimball's cough was a little worse so he stayed home from school.  We ended the long day with popsicles.

May 21.  We went to our ward playgroup at the park on Wednesday.  Abby loves the slides and swings.  I worked in the afternoon.  At the last minute the sister missionaries needed someone to go out with them.  So after the kids were in bed I got to relive mission experiences on a ride along with the sister missionaries.  One is from Miami and another is from Guatemala.  They are both darling and I had a nice time with them.

May 22.  I ordered a collage on canvas of the family pictures we had taken.  I think it turned out nicely.

Stan, Kimball and even Abby like to sing Star Wars songs.  They crack me up.  Lately Stan has become fairly intense in his singing as you can see by the video.

After dinner of ramen noddles we went to the park.  Bryce had is final presentation for school.  It was the very last thing he had to do to graduate.  I am so glad it's over.  I am also glad it means fewer nights away from us.

May 23.  Friday was Kimball's graduation from preschool.  He had a cute little program at the library with all the songs that they had learned throughout the year.  Grandma and Grandpa Hansen were able to join us.

After the program Kimball got to pick our lunch spot.  He chose a place with prizes and a playground.

But the day wasn't over yet!  Bryce went to work while the kids and I visited Red Butte Gardens.  We almost didn't go because it was so cloudy, but it was such a pleasant day.  The gardens were beautiful.  I never knew such a place existed in Salt Lake.  I would love to go back.  The rain started just as we were leaving.  Such great timing.
