January 7-13, 2019

On Tuesday of this week, Bryce came home from work to the heater blowing nothing but cold air.  We couldn't get it to stop blowing, even after turning it off so we hit the breaker and went to bed.  It was pretty cold (although not THAT cold - I am sure the pioneers would have thought us spoiled) so Bryce built a fire in the basement and we let the kids eat breakfast on the card table.

We were able to get someone over in the afternoon and it was all fixed in less than 24 hours.

We also got the pictures back from the Ergo Spout photo shoot.  They turned out really great.

On Friday night, Bryce and I were able to celebrate our anniversary by going to the temple.  We were able to see the recent modifications to the ceremony and new video.  My mom watched the kids for us.  We also went to the Mandarin in Bountiful for some Chinese food and worked on a survey for future products.  There we ran into Bryce's Aunt Cheryl and Dennis and some of his cousins.

January 1-6, 2019

We spent New Year's Eve with our friends the Batemans, eating dinner, playing games and watching the U football game (at least that is what Brad and Bryce did).  After dinner, well before midnight, we blew a few horns outside on their front porch.  It was too cold for any other celebrating, but we had a great time.

Abby celebrated her 6th birthday on Wednesday, January 3rd.  We are so thrilled that she is part of our family!  She loves unicorns, dolls (especially the L.O.L. and 18 in variety), her brothers and dogs.  We had Grandma and Grandpa Hansen along with Nana Norman in attendance for a birthday dinner.  Papa Norman received the approval from the First Presidency to become a sealer in the Bountiful Temple since returning from Guatemala.  He went to a meeting for sealers and so missed Abby's dinner.

Bryce and I spent quite a bit of the week finalizing the details of the Ergo Spout production.  We have samples of all the colors.  With the exception of red they look good.  The red isn't quite right, but given that's the only change we fee pretty good with how things are going.  We still need them on a boat before Chinese New Year, but we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

Saturday was Abby's birthday party.  We had 14 little girls at our house and it was such fun!  The boys were able to attend a show called Jurassic Quest with Nana as their Christmas present so we had the house to ourselves.  They played games, decorated bags and had a concession stand for movie treats!  It was the perfect way to end the first week of the new year.
