August 23-29: Kindergarten!

August 23.  Saturday was a fun day.  We celebrated Brayden's birthday with pizza and donuts for lunch with Karston, and Grandma and Grandpa.

Next we headed over to the "Bounce House" where the kids proved they have WAY more energy than their adult counterparts.  (Shocking, I know).  I will have to upload pictures later after I get them from Grandma and Grandpa.  We ended the day with dinner at the Stake Center and the Stake Fair.  The boys got their faces painted and Brayden took a dip in the dunk tank.

August 24.  The boys were lucky enough to get a sleepover at Grandma and Grandpa's with cousins.  On Sunday we we joined them after church for dinner.

August 25.  Monday was a big day!  Kimball started Kindergarten.  He looked so grown up.  Grandma, Grandpa, Brayden and Karston joined us for dinner and Family Home Evening.  We talked about priesthood blessing and then Bryce gave the kids father's blessings for the new school year.

August 26.  Tuesday we tried our best to get into the new groove of a school schedule.  I worked and the kids played.

August 27.  By Wednesday Stan was still having a hard time with Kimball at school and all the attention he was getting.  So I decided that I would take Stan and Abby to the Museum of Natural Curiosity.  We arrived at 9:30 and I forgot it didn't open until 10am.  Ooops!  They were very patient.

Once inside we had lots of fun.

August 28.  Thursday morning Kimball woke us up at 5:00am having lost his second tooth!  Thankfully he went back to bed.

After we got up I noticed that the female flower on the pumpkin plant was in bloom.  We went out and pollinated it with one of the male flowers.  If we don't get a pumpkin from this, I am at a loss.

This is what picking up a kindergartener with younger siblings looks like.

In the evening, the Elder's Quorum Presidency worked to put the giant slip and slide together for the party on Saturday.  The kids were able to help test it.

August 29.  Friday Kimball made it through his week of school.  We spent the afternoon playing at home with Mom trying to get caught up on laundry and looking forward to the weekend.  The weeks are going to seem so different with Kimball in school every day.
